The Composition and Structure of the scheme enables
the teacher to teach the same topics in details while aiming
at achieving the same objectives and practicing the same learning
activities.
Pupils’ performances are assessed
relative to each of the objectives, and they get a feedback
of the result of each assessment immediately. Since a pupil
must master an objective before moving on to the next, immediate
remediation is ensured.
The learning activities contained in the scheme include inquiry,
research, practical work etc, and these involve pupils in the
quest for knowledge. Hence, participating actively in their own
education.
Varieties of instruments are used to assess
pupils in the cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains.
Pupils are made to demonstrate their skills rather than write
answers to questions in science practical, creative arts, and
practical mathematics. These facilities, the discovery and
development of the individual child’s
talents and capabilities.
The scheme encourages pupils to search for knowledge, thereby
making use of the library and cultivating extensive reading habits. |
